This Australian design duo have won numerous awards, in particular Alex Glimour who won the SOYA Award in 2010 and the Powerhouse Museum Wizard in 2009. These are simple, elegant and functional products that reflect, much like the Droog group, the simplicity and the aesthetic beauty in the materials they use. They attempt to pear all their designs down to there basic elements. Here are some examples of their work. Do you think they have achieved their aim?

Silhouette Chair
Oh, wow!
ReplyDeleteThese collections are so interesting.
I appreciate the concept of the chair, but the glassware is the thing doing it for me. So beautiful!
I know right! The simplicity in the chair is cool, but it looks kinda uncomfortable o_O but the glassware - indescribable, in my opinion! They are way to elegant for simple, yet modern.. Im finding it hard to make my words match their beauty... She is one clever girl!
